Peggy, on painting in front of a live studio audience:

It is a bit like being a goldfish in a goldfish bowl, or a creature in the zoo. In fact, when I have a group of people who are attentively watching what I’m doing, I find it actually helps me focus. I get into a groove – I suppose, like a musician and enjoy having people watching what I was doing. Their ability to concentrate on what I was doing actually made me value the works more.

We’ll present ten songs composed by Elaine Alt as well as Oscar Moore, Johannes Brahms, Malcolm X, Aeion Solar, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Dave Brubeck.

The music style incorporates contrasts and mashups of Swing, Latin Jazz, Funk, Afro-Cuban and Classical elements.
